Hydrocephalus, or "water on the brain" occurs when there is an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid within the brain. This puts harmful pressure on tissue, which can cause developmental issues or damage. Surgery is often performed and a shunt is inserted to drain the fluid. When the child's head is shaved for the procedure, they are in need of a medical wig to assist them as they navigate this health challenge and we are here to help! www.wigs4kids.org
