Retired Lt. Firefighter Dawn Murphy who held her "Shave the Murph" cut-a-thon and fundraiser this summer stopped in for a surprise visit to Maggie's Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan today. She raised more than her goal at the event and decided to donate $800 to sponsor a child's wig through our Adopt-a-Kid program! Dawn is committed to helping two children's organizations: our nonprofit and Great Lakes Burn Camp. We are thankful to be one of her charities of choice!
