At Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan, we continue to advocate for children’s wigs to be recognized like any other prosthesis. We attended a hearing today via Zoom in front of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee for the Department of Health & Human Services where our Founder & CEO Maggie Varney spoke about how hair restoration plays an important role in a child’s self-esteem when they’ve lost their hair due to a health challenge. We thank Committee Chair Senator Sylvia Santana and all the committee members who heard our testimony as they prepare to make funding allocations for the DHHS budget. Heartfelt gratitude to Robert Kennedy and the Capitol Affairs team who made this opportunity possible to speak with the Senate.
