Ryley Benefits from VR

When a health challenge shows up, children don’t stop being students. Our wig recipient Ryley experiences trichotillomania, the obsessive-compulsive urge to pull hair, which is a genetic disorder. Ryley is in college and she has found through the support of XR Impact Network that VR (virtual reality) can uniquely address the challenges she faces.

Thanks to award-winning content creators like TRIPP and institutional lead: 18Loop in partnership with the American Childhood Cancer Organization we can deliver access to experiences that help kids better navigate their hair loss.

Ryley states, “I used TRIPP, Inc. before my exam and it really helped center my thoughts. I've utilized it between studying to help me refocus because I was getting overwhelmed and had so many urges, yet didn’t pull. TRIPP helps me center myself while waiting to get exam results too and I was super nervous for them and started pulling, so I put on my VR headset and it helped me stop”.
