The Lakeshore Optimist Club is hosting a meeting on Wednesday January 13, 2027, at 8:30am, at The Grosse Pointe War Memorial at 32 Lake Shore Dr. Grosse Pointe, MI 48236. The Lakeshore Optimist Club of Grosse Pointe is a long-standing, community-focused volunteer organization serving Grosse Pointe and surrounding Metro Detroit areas since 1980 as a local branch of Optimist International. The club is dedicated to making a positive impact on local youth and community initiatives through service, fundraising, and advocacy. The Lakeshore Optimist Club is committed to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" by supporting a wide range of community service initiatives. The club selects its projects and raises the funds to carry them out. Their efforts focus on enhancing the lives of young people, by supporting community programs, organizing youth speech contests, honoring youth achievements, and partnering with other charitable institutions. Maggie's Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan is pleased to be selected as their Charity of Choice, and we look forward to providing an update on our comprehensive programming. |
