Hair Donation Rescue: Wigs 4 Kids Founder & CEO, Maggie Varney was overwhelmed with gratitude when she received a trash bag ¾ full of hair donations during a fundraiser at Bumpers Landing Beach Bar & Grill. All of the donations were individually packaged with names and one of the hair donors who came to the event had brought the bag with them after their friend retrieved it from a local dumpster! She wanted the hair to be donated to Wigs 4 Kids as we do not charge for our wigs or support services.
It takes hair donors a minimum 2 YEARS to grow their hair out and we find the disposal of these wonderful donations to be despicable, as we can utilize them to make wigs for children in need. We thank the donors who took the time to generously grow their hair to make a difference.
