Wigs
4 Kids is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that
reaches out to kids and young adults with hair loss. This
program is available to any child or teen from ages 3 through
18 in Michigan at no cost to them or their families.
Wigs 4 Kids'
main focus is on cancer patients and includes other young
people with similar appearance related challenges that
cause hair loss such as: alopecia, trichotillomania,
lupus, hydrocephalus, burns and other disorders.
Wigs 4 Kids
helps children who struggle to deal with social acceptance
based on physical appearance. By providing
custom-fitted,
age-appropriate wigs,
we help our kids feel better about their appearance and
look more like their peers.
Wigs
4 Kids accepts donations from caring
individuals, companies and organizations. Wigs 4
Kids is funded solely on the basis of contributions.
Any financial support received presents a greater opportunity
to help kids in need of our assistance.
In addition to the physical changes which occur with hair loss, children struggle with emotional, social and psychological side effects that need to be addressed.
Every child is seen through our intake program at our
Wigs 4 Kids Ancillary Support Services Satellite Office to assess and evaluate their needs so we may better serve them.
Wigs 4 Kids Wellness Center & Salon utilizes cutting-edge green technology. In the construction phase natural materials were used: from bamboo flooring to non-toxic paint on the walls, we are committed to providing a healthy setting for our guests while remaining eco-friendly.
